Welcome to the Down and Dirty Guide to Coxing! On these pages you will find not only The Down and Dirty Guide to Coxing, On The Water Audio (OTWA) CD, and Down and Dirty Drill Card, but also tools that I’ve developed over the years as a coach, my thoughts on rowing, as well as sharing some of the things that fascinate me about our sport. I believe that there is no magic, silver bullet to what we do. No secrets, no tricks, nothing that needs to be kept quiet. We as coaches, coxswain, and athletes are all trying to accomplish the same things: create fast boats within the framework of a great experience for our athletes and ourselves. Each individual can take the same information, act on it, and the outcome is going to be the same. If we share then we empower everyone to get better, and the only strengthens our sport.
